In order to have an automatic verification system that would be used to verify and approve pictures of equipment taken from various sites; technicians were engaged to take pictures of the equipment from different view.

These pictures were fed into the system; but not all of them were used; as some were seen to be unsuitable for the purpose at hand. The pictures uploaded were used by the system to make subsequent decisions in verifying whether pictures taken from other sites are the pictures of the equipment. Thus, such decisions are taken base on what was learned by the system. This is the rudimentary principle of artificial intelligence.

Now, this process was copied from the human natural intelligence; where a child learn so many things, and employ them in future decision making.

With similar thoughts, Paul wrote; … and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise….

Also, Solomon wrote; …Train a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not turn away from it.

(2 Timothy 3:15; Proverb 22:6)

Children often learn by what they hear, see and feel; which are used to build up their intellect from which their future thoughts and actions emanates. Children often take decisions based on what has been learnt; and such could be what was made available deliberately or by chance.

Just like the system describe above, where some pictures were not suitable to be uploaded; and hence were kept away; certain things are not suitable for children; thus, these are to be identify by a guiding adult, and should be kept away from them.

Paying less attention to what our children learn could bring various challenges into the home; while checking on what our children learn could bring peace to the home. Generally, if children learn what is good, they radiate goodness; if they learn what is ugly, they radiates ugliness; and if they learn what is bad; they radiates evil.

In line with this thought, we are enjoined thus:

all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

the words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

(Isaiah 54:13; Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

Intentionally teaching and training our children the way they should go, helps to cultivate and establish the desired culture that could bring joy and excitement to the home. The assumption of simply taking our children to church or school, leaving them to others to train; thinking that they will grow up into mature God-fearing children, hardly play out.

While church leaders and teachers are tremendous support to children; the task of constant education is squarely on the parents. The kind of environment we create around them or the kind of environment we allow them to be exposed to, often shape their outlook.

For instance, what they read, what they listen to, what they see, the examples they see, who they associate with, and so on; are things  that fill up their natural intelligence that are used for future decisions. And we must be conscious about these things.

Having a better child does not happen by chance; parents must have a clear plan for teaching and training their children. This could be difficult, but it comes with much blessings for the home; and God promised to bless such effort.
